Orrefors Pearl

Our beloved Swedish snaps has many names, one of the loveliest being Parla, or pearl. In 2009 Orrefors began collaborating with Pinot Ricard on a new way to drink snaps. Our renowned designer Ingegerd Raman was asked to take on the challenge, and the result was Pärlan, a snaps glass of just 2 cl. The idea was to wake interest in Swedish snaps and its countless famous flavours. The small size of the glass lets the user try several types. Råman’s design genius shines through in the wide foot of the glass, wider than the actual bowl for the drink. This enhances the sense of the little snaps, a tiny Pearl of exquisite flavour.
